Batería de Castillitos
Batería de Castillitos is an impressive Spanish coastal military base at Cabo Tiñoso (between Cartagena and Mazarrón). Built between 1926 and 1933, the complex features a medieval castle-style camouflaged façade and two massive 381 mm Vickers guns that could fire up to 35 km. Although the base was never used in combat, it is one of the most impressive military sites in the Mediterranean region, with tunnels, lookouts and dramatic cliff-top panoramic views over the sea.
